Window Egress Systems
Thinking of finishing your basement? Need an egress solution. The most affordable way for fire code egress is to add a basement window egress system. Its an easy to open window that serves as an emergency exit for below grade living space of any kind. Not only will this act as an emergency exit, it provides fresh air when open and lots of outdoor light during the day. We offer different levels or looks for egress to a very affordable option using the Stakwell System by Bilco or a larger decorative well that is attractive from inside looking out. All work for the egress Window system is complaint to the IRC Code section R310 for egress.
Bilco Entrance Installations
Our second egress solution is known as a Bilco entrance or what many call the Dorothy doors from the wizard of Oz. We hand build out Bilco entrance with regular foundation building practices with footings, block wall construction, steps and of course the Bilco lid itself. Can be installed on any type of foundation type. A great practical solution for getting in an out of the basement with steps at a moderate price point.
Full Basement Walkout
The Cadillac of egress solutions is to have a full basement walkout. We build our walkout to your design, or we can design the entrance for you. From single door to double or French doors, whatever you are thinking for a grand entrance from the back yard down into your basement, Del Val Basement Waterproofing can make it happen.
Includes excavation, footings poured, walls, concrete steps and concrete landing with drain and wall cut to accommodate door of your choice. Engineering is typically required with this service with permit.
Wall Stabilization & Rebuilding
We offer wall stabilization services as well as "pull back to level services" for block and poured concrete walls. We can also handle foundation projects of any size all the way up to total wall rebuilding.
